Hoxby - 2022 impact report review

👍🏻 3 things I like...

1. SPECIFIC MEASURABLE GOALS

In the prior year, they set specific goals to be achieved by financial year 2025 – and this year they’ve measured progress against these. The progress they’ve made in the last year has prompted them to create a new more ambitious goal for FY27. Like how these goals are split across different stakeholder – clients, Hoxbies (suppliers / employees), world

2. CASE STUDIES

Use of case studies to make it tangible.

3. DIVERSITY STATS – COMPARISONS

On their diversity stats they show a comparison versus the world’s population and versus prior year figures.

❓3 questions it raises

1. WHO’S THE AUDIENCE?

Who’s this impact report been written for? If you don’t know Hoxby, what they do and their unique way of doing work then it would be hard to pick this up and understand it. I do know a bit about them but got to the end and still wasn’t sure what ‘workstyle work’ is – I had a sense but would have found a definition helpful. Maybe the report’s not been written for me though!

2. WHAT’S THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT?

The report is silent on their environmental impact which I found odd when this is a focus of so many businesses at the moment, whether impact-focused or not. Specifically, I’m intrigued to know whether their unique approach to working enables them to reduce their environmental impact versus other businesses?

3. WHAT’S NEXT?

What are their plans to step up their impact and improve next year?
